What We Do
Learn | Improve | Have Fun!
Regular Sessions
We meet every Wednesday and welcome players of all skill levels to play and learn with us.
School Programs
As part of our outreach we have contact with the greater Rutland schools and hope to arrange scholastic tournaments in time.
Always Learning
All our members attend not only to play, but also to improve. After most games players conduct post-mortems, we regularly share puzzles and discuss interesting positions.
League & Tournaments
Members of the club often compete at tournaments around the country, creating a great, supportive community when you attend these events.
Stamford and Rutland Chess Club
Our active community of members are regularly looking for new players who would like to join us. Chess has a stigma of being "stiff" or unfriendly; our club strives to be different.
